“Broken”

It’s crazy to me how when growing up, you’re raised to keep your family close. You see them every weekend, you talk on the phone and get together every holiday. My favorite was always the family reunion’s. Seeing all my cousins, playing tag, volleyball, basketball, and shooting fireworks, but when we are younger we don’t realize who the ones are that are keeping us all together. It’s the great grand parents, unties and uncles. But once they’re gone we start to fall apart and go our separate ways. Tearing down branches and burning leaves until the family tree withers. Cousins become strangers, brothers and sisters become enemies. But now it’s up to us to nourish it back together and build a happier, bigger and stronger family Tree.
