Today was the last day my work was being shown at the Overture Center. It was truly, truly an honor to be a part of the show.
Beyond the opportunity to display my work in such a beautiful space, what meant the most to me was being able to have my boys see my work in a gallery. I wanted them to see that if you keep pushing toward your goals and dreams — no matter how impossible they may seem — they can come true.
It was such a blessing to share this moment with my kids, with my boys, so I can show them — not just tell them — to keep pushing through all the challenging times. Eventually, you’ll reach the top of the mountain, and once you get there, you’ll be high enough to see the next mountaintop to climb.
